Bringing the outdoors in

Whisper it quietly, but summer really does seem to have arrived!

These longer, brighter days always inspire me to embrace the vibrancy that comes with bringing the outdoors in. Take advantage of the opportunity by experimenting with some beautiful flowing foliage in the home, or by incorporating natural elements into your décor.

Add a touch of greenery with potted plants or fresh flowers for both a stunning visual and a burst of natural fragrance. Not only do plants improve air quality, but they add a sense of vitality and rejuvenation to transform your interiors.

Consider the type of pot or vase; the colour, finish and materials all make a design difference to your overall interior. Whether you opt for glass - like these coloured glass vases, ceramic (with or without a glaze) or a terracotta plant pot, placing a woven circular mat or a beautifully decorated plate underneath all adds to the combination of layers and textures.

Even a few small cuttings in a modest-sized container can make a big difference and imbue your interior scheme with individuality specific to you.

If you have house plants that are looking a bit sad, this time of year gives you the perfect opportunity to re-pot, re-love and relocate your neglected plant friends for a flora-inspired fresh start.
